Protected Areas Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (PAA) 19th Annual Benefit & Silent Auction. This year the event will be held on Thursday, November 13th, 7:00pm at the Johnson Geo Centre. The evening will include a silent auction and a dinner theatre/cabaret style atmosphere, catered by Zapata's Restaurant. PAA is very pleased to have innovative teacher and motivational speaker T.A. Loeffler as keynote speaker.

"We've been doing the concert for 18 years now to raise funds and promote awareness of the need to protect a portion of each of the province's ecoregions," says Laura Jackson, Executive Director of PAA. "Environmental issues are becoming more and more a high priority for people and our event gives us the opportunity to keep people informed and make new friends in the environmental community."

Special guests will include Dan Ficken on guitar, the Neighbourhood Strays belly dancing troupe and voices from the Quintessential Choir.

PAA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the establishment of a network of protected natural areas in our province. As this is the only annual fundraiser held, PAA hopes to get many supporters out for the event. It is also an opportunity for new people to come out and see what PAA is all about.
