17th Annual Benefit Concert

The event was held once again at the LSPU Hall on Tuesday, October 24th. The entertainment by Newfoundland artists was fantastic, including Greg Malone as M.C., Andy Jones, Gordon Quinton, The Pickett Line, The Celtic Fiddlers, Terry Rielly & Wayne Butler, Allan Ricketts and the PAA Green Team.

The bidding on the items of the silent auction was enthusiastic and the reception following, sponsored by the City of St. John's, was well attended by audience members, volunteers and staff. The publicity and the funds raised will help our efforts to establish a system of parks and reserves to protect the biodiversity of Newfoundland and Labrador's 35 natural regions.

We thank all our volunteers, performers and those who donated items to make the evening a success. We will be seeking a new venue for next year as the LSPU Hall will be closing for 6 months due to renovations. Thanks everyone!
