Protected Areas Association Announces Winners for the Environmental Art Competition
The Protected Areas Association of Newfoundland and Labrador (PAA) is pleased to announce the winners of its province-wide 2005 environmental art competition "What Wild Place is Special to You?" Launched during Wildlife Week, Spring of this year. This year's competition was extremely successful with 506 entries from 21 different schools. Our best year yet! This years winners are as follows:

Golf course expansion threatens to sink Frenchman’s Cove Provincial Park
The Protected Areas Association of Newfoundland and Labrador condemns the proposed expansion of the Grande Meadows Golf Course in Frenchman’s Cove Provincial Park, a development which threatens to sink the already seriously compromised park.
